FAQ

Questions

Why do I need a home inventory?

After a fire, flood or break-in, insurers pay only for what you can document. People without a personal property inventory routinely recover a fraction of their coverage simply because they can't remember and prove what they owned.

Is it really a one-time purchase?

Yes. Each app is a single App Store purchase. There is no subscription and nothing to renew. All future updates are included — you always run the latest version at no extra cost.

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone. Backups are files you export to iCloud Drive, Files or Google Drive and restore on any iPhone. We never see them.

Can my family use one purchase?

Yes. Our unlocks support Apple Family Sharing: buy once, and up to six members of your Apple family group get the full version automatically — Apple handles who's in the family, nothing to set up on our side. Each person keeps their own private data on their own device.

Which app do I need?

ItemVault documents your home before anything happens; ClaimsVault runs the claim after something did. InCaseVault is the plan your family opens if something happens to you. JobQuote wins the job, JobProof protects it, IncidentVault documents trouble at work. Each works on its own.

What happened to Encircle?

Encircle shut down its consumer app and people lost their inventories. Our apps can't lose your data because they never hold it.

Do the apps work offline?

Fully. There is no server side, so nothing depends on a connection — the only network use is when you choose to share an exported PDF or backup.
